Meet the Team
Megan earned a BS in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University where she started her research career in the laboratory of Dr. Claire Thomas studying the spectrin-based membrane cytoskeleton using fruit flies. She earned a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis in the laboratory of Dr. Jason Mills. Her thesis work focused on the mechanisms of cell plasticity, repair, and metaplasia in the stomach. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan in the laboratories of Dr. Costas Lyssiotis and Dr. Yatrik Shah. Megan’s postdoc work identified how NADPH and redox metabolism control precancer formation and progression in the pancreas. In March 2026, Megan joined the faculty in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Megan Radyk, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Oncology
Arwen has been performing cancer research for 16 years. She began by studying the development of vulvar cancer in response to ultra-potent corticosteroids at SUNY Geneseo while she earned her BSc in Biochemistry with a concentration in pre-medicine. This translational research was performed in collaboration with the OB/GYN department at Strong Memorial Hospital and the University of Rochester. She went on to obtain her MSc in Interdisciplinary Cancer Sciences from the University at Buffalo and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Graduate Division. Her thesis investigated the potential sex bias in lymphocyte trafficking in response to immunotherapy treatment. She has spent over 9 years in laboratory leadership, as the manager and research associate of Dr. Michael Feigin’s pancreatic cancer research lab at Roswell Park.

Arwen Tisdale
Lab Manager
Afrin earned her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Jahangirnagar University in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her research focused on the hepato-toxicological effects of ayurvedic medicine used in the treatment of ascites. She also earned a Master’s degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from State University of New York at Buffalo, while studying beta-glucan nanoparticles for tuberculosis treatment in preclinical models. In the Radyk lab, Afrin is studying the role of Galectin4 in pancreatic cancer initiation and progression.

Afrin Parvin
Laboratory Technician
Seth earned a BSc in Biology from Robert Morris University and a MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wright State University. His thesis work focused on the role of FBXL16 in regulating ERK3 stability and cell migration. In his PhD studies, Seth is expanding his experience in biochemistry and cell signaling to learn more about cancer metabolism. His project aims to define the relationship between zinc metabolism and RAS signaling in pancreatic cancer.
